On Saturday,July 20 Sainik School,Rewa (MP) celebrated its 58th Foundation Day. This is a special day when the entire school family has a chance to reflect not only the beginnings of the school and its founders, but also on the significant development since the school’s inception. The Principal,laid the wreath at the war memorial to pay homage to the martyrs followed by unfurling of school flag at the football ground.He also administered the pledge to the employees of Sainik School,Rewa. The Chief guest on this occasion was Maj Gen Sunil Singh Suhag,ADG EME(A),Dte Gen of EME,MGO’s Branch,IHQ of MoD(Army),New Delhi and an alumnus of Sainik School,Rewa (MP).He also visited War Memorial and laid the wreath.The Chief Guest reviewed the School Parade where he was presented ‘The Guard of Honour’ by the School contingent.The School Captain welcomed the Chief Guest in the Manekshaw Auditorium, by presenting him the bouquet and the Principal introduced him to the dignitaries,staff and the cadets present there. He pipped the school appointments,administered the pledge,and exhorted them to be more responsible and disciplined in their lives. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering on this occasion and motivated the budding cadets to strive hard and join Indian Armed Forces as officers in future. A friendly football match was played in the football ground between the staff and the guests.The main attraction of the celebration was the traditional mango party which was hosted by Sainik School, Rewa and was attended by all the dignitaries,staff and cadets. The function came to an end after vote of thanks proposed by the Vice Principal Wg Cdr U S Sahu.
